Gillum House is Blogging
I am told blogs are IT so I am going to try to let everyone know what is happening in Shinnston and the area. the Gillum House is starting the new year with a special to help stock the Lord's Pantry Food Bank. 5 cans of food will get the second night of a 2-night minimum free and a 6th can will get a Jimmy's Diner Dollars certificate for $15 at Jimmy's Diner. Only the Gillum House has Jimmy's Diner Dollars.Tonight is the Shinnston Area Council of Churches quarterly meeting. As President I cannot skip it for the City Council meeting which I usually attend. Shinnston is getting to be quite a place to visit. The new Activity Director has something planned for every month in 2007. It is going to be an exciting year. He and I will be at the State Capitol January 17 for Trail Day at the Capitol. John will be telling people about the West Fork River Rail-Trail that has its southern trailhead in Shinnston and I will be there in my capacity as Executive Director of West Virginia Rails-to-Trails Council.
