Yesterday we had an all-time low temperature for Feb. 6, it went to 5 degrees F. Lucky us, our water lines froze. It took all day, but thanks to a little electric heater, we finally got everything flowing nicely without the plumber. He told me there were 30 people ahead of me on the list who did not have heat. THAT we did have. The innkeepers at Faith Lodge in Hogesville (near Buckhannon) were kind enough to bring us a 5 gallon container of water, bless them.It snowed last night. I think we got about 4 inches. Everything looks so pretty.We are still offering our 5 Cans Because You Can special. We are also offering a VERY special package for Thursday, Feb. 15. The Alderson-Broadus Jazz Band will be performing at the Lighthouse and we are offering a special for Thursday night with hand-dipped local chocolates (I am a chocoholic and attest that they are wonderful) and a great breakfast in the morning served at whatever time you like. If you want to extend the stay to include Friday and Saturday night, we have a JAZZ Special of an extra $50 per night. Keep warm.
