Cold and a Trip to Charleston

True to norm here, we had a lovely snow on Wednesday, VERY cold on Thursday morning (6F at the house) but in the high 30s by Thursday afternoon. By Friday the snow was gone and we were back in the 40s.Although it was cold, I had a very pleasant drive to Charleston with the Director of our Bice-Ferguson Museum for History Day at the Capitol. Museums and history attractions from all over the State had tables and displays to tell of the history of their area. We took part of the David Hardesty (longest serving President of WVU who was from Shinnston - Class of 1963) memorabilia that he donated after stepping down as President of WVU.Maxine tells me the Museum is changing their hours this year to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons. They have received more telephone equipment from the Telephone Pioneers to accompany Mr. Donald Bice's collection of old telephones (some dating to the 1880s). There is an old phone booth (but no Clark Kent or Superman). The exhibits in the center of the museum change every month. Come book in at the Gillum House and we will treat you to a visit to the Museum!Almost forgot. John will get his staples out Monday. He is doing fine. Not even sore any more.
